Primary Care Registered Dietitian
Position Summary
Interior Health has a relief, full time Registered Dietitian opportunity in the Kootenay Boundary region of British Columbia. This position will provide coverage until December 2024, or return of incumbent.
This position is part of a Primary Care Team to provide nutrition care and support to attached and unattached patients within the Castlegar and Kootenay Boundary region. This is a regional position, which supports numerous private clinics across Kootenay Boundary. The Registered Dietician will work closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for the client.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are community-based networks of health care professionals and clinics who plan and deliver all day-to-day health care needs of a community. Within these networks teams of providers work together closely. In this is way, patients receive better care, by the right person, at the right time, closer to home.
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Registered Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
Hours and days of work and work location are subject to change. There may be possibility to work from home in this role as per the flexible work location policy. A driver's license and vehicle are required.

Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
